TNRTB Classic: A Watchmaker’s Design
A few days ago I wrote about the molecular rotary motor F1-F0-ATPase, arguing that its supramolecular architecture and operation bear an uncanny similarity to a man-made machine. This similarity revitalizes the Watchmaker argument for God’s existence.
Critics of the revamped Watchmaker argument assert that the analogy between machines and living systems is nothing more than an explanatory analogy, an illustration that provides a framework to guide research in the life sciences.
