Anjeanette “AJ” Roberts is a molecular biologist who writes and lectures about the harmony between science and the Christian faith. She completed her PhD in molecular and cell biology at the University of Pennsylvania and conducted postdoctoral research in viral pathogenesis and “proof-of-concept” vaccine studies at Yale University. She spent two years in Samara, Russia, in Christian mission work and public health lecturing. She has also served as a research scholar for Reasons to Believe, developing a variety of influential resources on science and the Christian faith.
A curated selection of this scholar’s most widely engaged work with Reasons to Believe.
Molecular biologist Anjeanette “AJ” Roberts, biochemist Fazale Rana, paleoanthropologist Sue Dykes, and analytical philosopher Mark Perez guide us to a place where, once again, we can fearlessly embrace curiosity.
See moreIt is common to encounter people of various religious backgrounds. As Christians, we want the people we meet to understand why we believe Christianity is true. Keep reading to learn how to use science as a bridge-builder!
See moreWe’ve mapped the human genome—but not completely. Molecular biologist AJ Roberts reveals what’s still missing and why that gap matters for gene editing, ethics, and the Christian view of humanity.
See moreAre viruses alive? It’s not as simple as it sounds. A molecular biologist reveals why redefining life matters—and how the debate impacts origins, purpose, and the case for a Creator.
See moreAre viruses “clever”? A molecular biologist explores why we use human-like language to describe microbes—and how this reveals deeper truths about purpose, design, and our longing for meaning and a Creator.
