Dave Rogstad, Reasons to Believe (RTB) board member and scholar emeritus, received a BS in physics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 1962, followed by an MS and a PhD, also in physics, from Caltech in 1967. After leaving Caltech, Dave pursued a 30-year career with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), where he worked on several projects (including the Galileo mission and hypercube concurrent computation) and published several professional articles. He has served at RTB since its launch in 1986. Dave received numerous awards for his technical contributions to the NASA program, including a NASA Exceptional Service Medal for his contributions to antenna arraying. At his retirement in September of 2000, he was a principal engineer and technical group supervisor at JPL.
