Raphael Samuel is a Christian speaker and anesthesiologist. He holds an MD and master’s from University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Nelson R. Mandela School of Medicine. He obtained fellowships in anesthesiology from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is currently completing his MA in Christian apologetics at Biola University.

President, CEO, and senior scholar at Reasons to Believe (RTB), he formerly served as a senior scientist in research and development at Procter & Gamble. Rana earned a BS in chemistry with highest honors from West Virginia State College (now University) and a PhD in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry from Ohio University.
