Kevin Birdwell

Earth Science

Kevin Birdwell earned a PhD in physical geography from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with research on paleoclimate and environmental change. He works at Oak Ridge National Laboratory studying nuclear energy safety, atmospheric effects on wind energy, and pollutant dispersion in complex terrain. Kevin has also taught earth and space science, as well as meteorology for Lee University Online since 2014. An RTB volunteer apologist since 1998, he speaks on earth science, environmental topics, and faith. Kevin lives on the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee with his wife, Marsha.
