Medicine
Eddy M. del Río earned his MD from St. Louis University after earlier careers in classical music and defense engineering. He is a board-certified physician and a chief medical officer with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Eddy’s projects center on discovering analogies between human inventions and systems found in nature, especially those in the human organism, as well as exploring the nature of different information types. He has written for the Today’s New Reason to Believe blog and holds degrees from four universities. Eddy lives in Gulfport, Mississippi, with his wife Lisa.

Do redundancies in human physiology point to evolution—or to an intelligent Creator? Explore engineering principles in the body, such as the kidneys, and consider how such evidence shapes the debate over design in nature.
See moreCan science and medicine reveal the fingerprints of God? Understand moral injury, the deep connection between spiritual and physical health, and why forgiveness may be the ultimate remedy.
See moreIs science truly at odds with Christianity? A physician offers three answers—showing how history, fine-tuning, consciousness, and philosophy reveal that the real conflict lies between science and naturalism.
See moreIs the science-faith conflict a myth? Dr. Eddie Del Rio offers quick, conversational, and in-depth answers—demonstrating science’s compatibility with Christianity and exposing naturalism’s deeper challenges.
See moreHas modern science made belief in God unreasonable? A Christian physician examines emotional, philosophical, and naturalistic barriers to faith. He explores the God hypothesis and atheism.
