David C. Winyard Sr.

David Winyard Sr. is associate professor of engineering at both Indiana Wesleyan University and Grace College. He earned his PhD in science and technology studies at Virginia Tech and his MS in mechanical engineering at the University of Rochester. He served 37 years as a practicing engineer for the US Navy and Defense Logistics Agency, where he led value engineering projects to cut weapon system costs. After retiring, Winyard led the launch of engineering studies at Mount Vernon Nazarene University and at Grace College. Both programs achieved ABET accreditation.
