Galaxy Growth Publication by Hugh Ross ( October 9, 2006 ) A Hubble Space Telescope image of the early universe has once again affirmed the big bang and the veracity of Scripture. One big bang prediction is that for the first eight billion years following the creation event galaxies should increase in size in proportion to the age of the universe. This prediction was verified by Hubble images of galaxies spanning the specified distance in cosmic history (a redshift range of z ~ 1 to z ~ 5). Since the Bible “predicted” in considerable detail thousands of years ago that the universe possesses fundamental big bang features, scientific confirmations of such big bang features provide powerful evidence for the Christian faith.
