Stan Lennard is a retired general surgeon who received his MD in 1968 and doctor of science (ScD) degree in 1976. After practicing medicine for 30 years, he devoted himself to online teaching through Reasons Institute and apologetics research and writing. He has published two books, has a web page, and writes blogs that contribute ongoing research into the dualist interaction between the mind of God and the mind of man. The neural synapse (where nerve cells communicate) serves as the model for his research.

President, CEO, and senior scholar at Reasons to Believe (RTB), he formerly served as a senior scientist in research and development at Procter & Gamble. Rana earned a BS in chemistry with highest honors from West Virginia State College (now University) and a PhD in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry from Ohio University.
