Sharon R. Bloch is a senior scientist at Washington University School of Medicine. She earned a PhD in cell and molecular biology from Saint Louis University. Prior to teaching, she had a productive research career in tumor imaging at WashU Medicine. Bloch believes that people need not choose between scientific findings and faith in God. “When I study science,” she says, “I see how God designed everything to work according to its purpose. Science and faith provide two different views of the same picture, and in order to see the whole picture you need both.”
