Rene Chun is an associate researcher in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine. He earned a BS in chemistry and biochemistry from UCLA and a PhD in molecular biology and biochemistry from UC Irvine. His research focuses on mouse models for preventing and treating orthopaedic implant infections.

President, CEO, and senior scholar at Reasons to Believe (RTB), he formerly served as a senior scientist in research and development at Procter & Gamble. Rana earned a BS in chemistry with highest honors from West Virginia State College (now University) and a PhD in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry from Ohio University.
