Mike Strauss is an experimental particle physicist currently doing research on the ATLAS detector, one of the two multipurpose particle detectors located on the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Switzerland. He has served as a professor of physics at the University of Oklahoma since 1995. He earned an MS and PhD in experimental particle physics from the University of California, Los Angeles, conducting research at the Stanford Linear Accelerator, the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, and now at CERN. He currently studies the properties of the Higgs Boson and the top quark.
