Kirby Hansen served for 26 years in the US Navy as an engineering duty officer specializing in electronic systems. He holds an MS in communications engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Following his retirement, he spent nine years as director of manufacturing engineering for 3Com Corporation (a provider of ethernet equipment). His major focus now is exploring topics in developmental and molecular biology in leading journals and textbooks, as well as delivering apologetics presentations.
