Ken Wolgemuth is the founder of Solid Rock Lectures and has been a geological and petrophysical specialist for 20+ years. He holds a PhD in geochemistry from Columbia University. He began his career at Dickinson College, where he taught for seven years while he was a visiting professor at the Federal University of Bahia in Salvador, Brazil. He then worked for 40 years as a petroleum geologist for the Hess Corporation and was a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. He frequently addresses controversies over the age of the earth.

Some claim carbon-14 in diamonds proves the earth is young. Learn why this argument fails and how both science and Scripture uphold God’s consistent revelation.
See moreDoes the Grand Canyon prove a young earth? Learn why its layered sediments and diverse environments point to long geological processes, not a single flood.
See moreCan radiometric dating always be trusted? Explore how geologists apply these methods, why some dates can vary, and why concordant results confirm Earth’s ancient history.
See moreCan radiocarbon dating affirm Biblical events? Discover how this method helps verify artifacts like the Dead Sea Scrolls and Hezekiah’s tunnel, aligning archaeological evidence with Scripture’s timeline.
See moreDiscover how Hawaii’s islands test young-earth and old-earth models, showing millions of years of volcanic activity, erosion, and reef development through radiometric dating.
