Barrie Winn was born in the US, grew up in Switzerland, and earned a BS in chemical engineering from Imperial College London. For 8 years, he worked for an engineering/science consultancy in London, including 14 months seconded to IFDC in Alabama. He then served for 32 years at one of the world’s largest phosphate mining and manufacturing complexes, working in chemical plant operations and the environmental and technical departments. In retirement he earned an MA in science and religion from Biola University and uses apologetics in ministry. He consults in the phosphate field.

Is Earth's abundance of phosphorus just luck—or a sign of intentional design? Discover why one rare element could point to Earth’s uniqueness and hint at a deeper purpose behind our planet.
See moreThe role of phosphates in life exposes a critical flaw in naturalistic origin-of-life theories. Discover why chemistry may point not to chance, but to the work of an intelligent designer.
See moreSome scientists express awe at nature’s elegance—yet resist design when it points to a Creator. Explore why naturalism has prevailed in the scientific community and how moral implications shape what’s considered acceptable.
See moreChristianity historically laid the foundation for science through its view of order, time, and ethics. Discover how a Christian worldview strengthens scientific inquiry and responsible engineering.
See moreFrom growing up next door to the son of Einstein’s confidant in Geneva to a career in chemical engineering and Christian apologetics, Barrie Winn shares his journey of science, faith, and calling.
