TNRTB Classic: A Well-Ordered Challenge to Biological Evolution Publication by Fazale “Fuz” Rana ( November 16, 2012 ) A few days ago I wrote about research results obtained by French scientists that run counter to a key prediction of the evolutionary paradigm: namely that gene synteny should reflect evolutionary relationships by decreasing as the evolutionary relatedness of organisms diminishes. Confirmation of Design in the Universe Publication by Hugh Ross ( April 1, 2006 ) Analysis of a survey of galaxy distances has provided more evidence consistent with a supernatural Designer’s work in creating the universe. A team of international scientists derived many cosmological parameters by quantifying the clustering of galaxies in the 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey data. The measured parameters matched values obtained from numerous other techniques, as expected from a good scientific model of the universe. In particular, the team determined that the space-energy density is consistent with a cosmological constant. If truly constant, the space-energy density represents one of the most fine-tuned characteristics of the universe yet discovered. RTB’s cosmic creation model predicts the degree of fine-tuning measured by scientists will continue to grow as scientists make more detailed measurements of the universe. Astronomy

“Welcome Back, My Friends, to the Show that Never Ends” Publication by Anjeanette Roberts ( February 11, 2010 ) It was not one of my finer moments. I was on my junior high school’s basketball team and we were headed out for an away game. As we boarded the bus, the cheerleaders handed everyone an apple as a pre-game snack. Being in seventh grade meant I was relegated to the back of the bus where the exhaust fumes were especially bad that day. So after eating my apple, I pulled my shirt up over my nose in the hopes of filtering out some of the noxious odors. That move was my undoing. Evolution
American Scientific Affiliation Annual Meeting Event by Reasons to Believe ( July 20, 2019 ) Hugh Ross will be speaking at the ASA Annual Meeting. The theme of ASA 2019 is “Exploring Creation”—combining the scientific aspect of exploration with the theological concept of the natural world as creation. This theme epitomizes the work of the ASA, focusing on understanding science and related fields in the context of our Christian faith. […]
Soft Tissue Preservation Mechanism Stabilizes the Case for Earth’s Antiquity Blog by Fazale “Fuz” Rana ( December 19, 2018 ) One of the highlights of the year at Reasons to Believe (well, it’s a highlight for some of us, anyway) is the white elephant gift exchange at our staff Christmas party. It is great fun to laugh together as a staff as we take turns unwrapping gifts—some cheesy, some useless, and others highly prized—and then “stealing” from one another those two or three gifts that everyone seems to want.
