Plant Defenses Publication by Hugh Ross ( August 1, 2004 ) German molecular ecologists confirm the declarations in Job and Psalms that God creates life with optimal designs in the ecological relationships between plants and animals. They discovered a set of genes in a native tobacco species that when turned off results in greater vulnerability to the species’ normal herbivores and attracted a suite of other herbivore species that normally never feed upon it. Evidently, these genes control a set of chemical defenses that guarantee that this plant species receives the ideal amount of harvesting by herbivore species best designed to benefit from the harvesting. By ensuring that the harvesting is neither too great nor too small, both the plant species and its herbivores sustain population levels and habitat extents that result in the optimal quality of life for all.
Did God Create Adam and Eve with Appearance of Age? Publication by Hugh Ross ( October 1, 2021 ) Question of the week: Since God made Adam and Eve from dirt, as fully formed adults, then would this not be compelling evidence for the young-earth creationist models that claim God made everything else mentioned in Genesis 1 fully formed with the appearance of age? My answer: You will find a detailed and fully documented […] Bible
Does a Cosmic Cold Spot Challenge Creation? Blog by Hugh Ross ( April 13, 2020 ) My wife is very sensitive to cold spots in our home. So is our cat. Both can sense tiny temperature differences among the rooms in our home and determine which room is the coldest. Based on that sensitivity, they will do everything they can to avoid spending time in our home’s cold spot. Astronomy
Galaxy Bulge Size Reveals Metallicity Publication by Hugh Ross ( June 10, 2006 ) A team of South American astronomers has discovered additional evidence for fine-tuning in the type of galaxy capable of supporting life. Any form of life requires sufficiently complex chemistry and a rocky planet capable of long-standing liquid water. Underlying both of these constraints is the production of abundant metals in stellar interiors. The team discovered that galaxies with smaller bulges lack the metal content of galaxies with larger bulges. These smaller-bulge galaxies will not produce adequate metals early enough to form a planet like Earth where life can thrive. Thus, astronomers continue to buttress RTB’s cosmic creation model, which predicts a high degree of fine-tuning as a result of a supernatural Creator preparing a fit habitat for life and, ultimately humankind. How Can I Help My Child Become a Research Scientist? Publication by Guest Writer ( October 1, 2010 ) Some children are naturally curious about science and want to become scientists. What can parents do to sustain that curiosity and equip children to achieve their life goals? More importantly, what can parents do to prepare their children to become distinctly Christian research scientists? Education
