Our days will offer a variety of outdoor activities—hiking, swimming, ziplining, and more. We’ll also be enriched by presentations, devotionals, and engagement with scholars Hugh Ross, Jeff Zweerink, George Haraksin, Leslie Wickman, and David Block. At night, we’ll enjoy the stars that declare the glory of God.

The highlight of the event will be the total eclipse on April 8. We anticipate a display of wonder that will take your breath away and fill you with awe.

Where is the camp located?

  • Camp Buckner is located at 3835 FM2342, Burnet, TX 78611, about an hour outside of Austin, TX. We encourage carpooling or taking a taxi/rideshare service to the camp center.

What are the accommodations like?

  • Lodge: sleeps 4 (1 queen bed plus 1 bunk bed, a second queen, OR two single beds)
  • Chateau: sleeps 6 (1 queen bed plus 2 bunk beds)
  • Cabin: sleeps 12-18 depending on cabin (bunk beds)
  • Lodges and chateaus are limited in number and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note: lodges and chateaus must be reserved as an entire unit.

How much does it cost to attend Total Eclipse 2024?

  • The price for the retreat is $450 per person for a cabin spot and $550 per person for a lodge or chateau spot (plus registration and processing fees). Please note that for the latter options, the entire lodge or chateau must be booked (e.g., 6-person chateau is $3,300 and the 4-person lodge is $2,200). 

What’s included in the registration price?

  • Pricing for the event includes your lodging for the duration of the event (evening of April 5–morning of April 9), snacks and all meals, access to talks from our speakers, games, outdoor activities, eclipse sunglasses, and more! 

What’s not included in the registration price? 

  • Your transportation to and from the event is not included in the registration price. 
    • For ground transportation we recommend booking a rental as soon as possible, due to high demand. If a rental car cannot be secured, a taxi or rideshare service (Lyft, Uber) is another option for getting to the camp.

What should I pack?

  • In addition to your clothing, please pack:
    • Toiletries (shampoo, hair dryer, toothbrush/paste, body wash, etc.)
    • Sunscreen
    • A reusable water bottle
    • Modest swimwear
    • Sandals and walking shoes
    • Medications
    • Bible
    • Towels (one for swimming, one for showering)
    • A printed or mobile version of each guest’s ticket for Total Eclipse 2024 (available in your confirmation email)

Are there any animals on the campground?

  • Please be aware that due to the natural environment, ants, snakes, and scorpions can be present on the campground. Carefully check shoes and piles of clothing or towels for snakes and scorpions as they are drawn to hide under dark/damp areas. 

How do I sign up for activities like ziplining?

  • To get started, simply register for the retreat! In early 2024, we’ll reach out to you via email so you can sign up for your preferred activities. 

Are there any pets allowed on the campground?

  • No pets are allowed on the grounds of Camp Buckner. However, if you have a service animal, please contact [email protected] to discuss your situation to see how we can accommodate you.

I’m not able to stay for the entire retreat. Can I join you for one day?

  • Yes! Guests who are unable to stay for the entirety of the retreat can join RTB on April 8 to witness the total eclipse. Please visit this link for more details or to purchase a day pass.

Are there spaces to tent camp?

  • Yes, we have a limited number of tent spaces available on a first come, first served basis. Please visit our registration page for pricing and availability.

Are there spaces to park an RV?

What is your refund policy?

  • For guests joining the entire retreat (April 5–9): If you cancel your reservation by October 31, 2023, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel between November 1, 2023 and January 14, 2024, you will receive a 50% refund. If you cancel on or after January 15, no refunds will be issued.
  • For day pass guests (April 8): You can request a full refund for your day pass within 30 days of your purchase, up until March 4, 2024. On or after March 4, all day passes are nonrefundable.
