Biography
José Campos is CEO of the Sustainable Agriculture Network and has 40 years of international leadership experience in sustainable forestry, agriculture, and natural resource management. He earned a B.Sc. in forestry from the University of São Paulo, a master’s in natural resources management from CATIE/University of Costa Rica, and a doctorate in forestry from the University of Oxford. He formerly served as director general of the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center and held board roles with CIFOR, ICRAF, and IUFRO, as well as advisory positions with the World Bank and IDB. After a season of atheism, Campos experienced a profound spiritual transformation and now explores apologetics to unite his love of science and faith.
José lives in Costa Rica with his wife, Silvia, and enjoys family time, travel, and nature.
