Andrew “Andy” Moyes, MD, is an ophthalmic surgeon practicing in Kansas City, Missouri. He specializes in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. Andy is passionate about helping the 70 percent of evangelical college students who step away from their faith for at least a time during young adulthood. One of the primary reasons cited for leaving the faith is a perceived lack of scientific validity. Andy has dear friends and family members who have experienced this struggle and is in the process of writing a book tentatively titled Clear Creation: A Brief History of an Old Universe. The book is targeted toward college students who are questioning the scientific validity of their faith. He hopes and prays that this book will also be an excellent evangelistic resource on college campuses.
Andy lives in Parkville, Missouri, with his wife of 35 years, Cathryn. They have eight children (four by marriage). Andy enjoys bird-watching and mountain climbing.
