RTB 101: Bad Designs Prove Good

On Monday I discussed a recent report on the human pupil and how the research shows that so-called “bad” designs are often, in fact, optimally designed. Although skeptics like to point to bad designs as evidence in favor of evolution, closer inspection and better data frequently reveal that these mechanisms are optimally engineered—a circumstance that favors a theistic view.
