Disease Protection Research Affirms Biblical Teaching
TNRTB Archive – Retained for reference information
A study of the risk factors for teenagers contracting meningitis affirms the biblical exhortation for intimate relations only in monogamous, life-long marriages. A team of scientists analyzed the various genetic and environmental factors that influenced teenagers’ risks for catching the meningococcal virus. Among the most significant risk factors was intimate kissing with multiple partners. Conversely, religious observance mitigated the risk at a level similar to vaccination. Both of these results affirm that biblical wisdom protects from destructive behaviors and provides “length of days and years of life and peace.” (Proverbs 3:2, NASB)
