Celebrating Christmas with RTB

In his classic story A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens describes the Advent season as “a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time.” At RTB, Christmas certainly is a good time with plenty of homemade treats to share and a joyous annual party to anticipate. We are reminded constantly of God’s goodness to us in Christ.

We hope that your December festivities will also reflect Dickens’ sentiment. And to aid in this season’s contemplations, conversations, and celebrations, we offer a selection of our Christmas-themed resources to equip and encourage you.

We at RTB wish you and yours a very merry Christmas!

The Bethlehem star

One of our more popular holiday topics, the star of Bethlehem often raises questions. What was the starWho were the Magi and how did the star guide them to Jesus? Theories abound, but RTB’s Christmas star web page provides articles, videos, and podcasts dedicated to weighing Scripture and scientific evidence to piece together probable explanations for this intriguing part of the Nativity story. And in case you missed it earlier this month, Hugh Ross examines recent research that sheds new light on the star.

Christmas edition podcasts

RTB scholars share personal reflections on the Advent season and what Christ’s first coming reveals about God’s wondrous character and generosity.
