Where Science and Faith Converge

RTB Austin, TX Chapter Meeting

Date
April 27, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location
Hyde Park High School
11400 North MoPac Expressway
Austin, TX
Speaker
Fazale Rana
Description
Dr. Fazale “Fuz” Rana addresses the scientific, theological, and philosophical aspects of both the dangers and the promises of synthetic biology. Based on his book of the same name, Creating Life in the Lab, this talk details the fascinating quest for synthetic life and argues that when scientists successfully created life in the lab, they unwittingly undermined the

evolutionary explanation for the origin of life—and instead strengthened the case for a Creator.

*This event is free and open to the public.
