Francisco Delgado was born in Mexico. He did his premedical studies at the University of Arizona and received his medical degree with honors from Universidad La Salle in Mexico City. After completing his residency in internal medicine in Miami Beach, Florida, he went on to complete the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program at Vanderbilt University. He is in private practice with a group of infectious diseases physicians in the Indianapolis area. His group provides care for patients with diseases such as HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, travel-related infections, and transplant-related infections. Today, he is the chair of an antimicrobial stewardship committee at one of the major hospitals in Indianapolis where he also teaches internal medicine.
Dr. Delgado became a Christian in 1989 while at the University of Arizona. He discovered RTB in 1997 while researching the different views on Genesis among Christians. He is active with the RTB Indianapolis, IN Chapter and lives in Carmel, Indiana, with his wife and three daughters.
