“Removing the divide between science and the Bible”

1. Objectives
1.1 Who Are We?
The Washington DC Area Network of Reasons To Believe is a local extension of the worldwide, non-denominational Reasons To Believe ministry. We are Christian men and women of varying ages and backgrounds who believe that a straightforward interpretation of the facts of nature supports the existence of the transcendent, personal creator God revealed in the Bible.
1.2 What Do We Do?
We use our understanding of the facts of science and the revelation of the Bible to demonstrate the consistency between both. It is our belief that the same God who created the universe inspired the Bible. Therefore, what God reveals through the facts of nature and through His written word will be completely consistent when both are properly interpreted. We reject the notion that science and the Bible are at odds.
We work to remove the doubts of skeptics and strengthen the faith of believers. We provide scientific, historical, and philosophical evidence that supports the Christian worldview, helps to remove barriers to acceptance of God and the Bible, and helps to lead to a saving belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
